The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) has made a significant mark at the World Travel Market (WTM) 2025, showcasing its vibrant tourism landscape and securing key global partnerships. With Saudi Arabia emerging as a key player in global tourism, the immersive "Saudi Land" pavilion served as a focal point for more than 14,700 visitors, capturing their imagination with the country's dynamic offerings.
Unveiling Major Partnerships and Events
During the event, STA signed nine Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and facilitated 27 additional agreements between local partners and international organizations. These agreements underscore STA's commitment to driving tourism growth and expanding Saudi Arabia's reach in the global travel market. The pavilion highlighted Saudi's impressive array of events scheduled for the year, emphasizing the country's tagline: the fastest-growing tourism destination in the world.
The Unreal Calendar
Visitors engaged with Saudi's curated "Unreal Calendar" of events, which features exciting attractions like the Formula 1 races, MDLBEAST Soundstorm, and the famous WWE Royal Rumble. The atmosphere at the exhibition was charged with excitement as guests experienced the rich cultural heritage and the potential for thrilling adventures in iconic locations such as Riyadh, the pristine beaches of the Red Sea, and the historical allure of AlUla.

The event also included the inaugural DMO Awards, designed to celebrate excellence among destination management organizations. Recognized this year were:
1. Diriyah for its 'Best Authenticity,' integrating rich local culture.
2. Qiddiya for 'Best Operational Excellence,' showcasing superior service and innovation.
3. Al Madinah for 'Best of Show,' commending its overall performance, blending authenticity with impactful tourism practices.
STA's Chief Partnerships and Regulatory Affairs Officer, Abdullah Alhagbani, remarked on the successful collaboration, stating, "The energy at Saudi Land and the achievements we celebrate belong to our partners. Securing nine new agreements reflects the vast opportunities ahead. Our Unreal Calendar and bold investments are paving the way for remarkable travel experiences."
