The event's central topic was the coexistence with plastics, addressing a crucial environmental issue.

Yohei Takemura presented innovative examples of how the environmentally friendly IoT smart trash bin, SmaGO, contributes to a circular economy. This smart bin is a game changer in reducing waste, especially in popular tourist destinations and urban areas that face garbage management challenges. Takemura discussed various implementation cases across Japan, including places like Omotesando in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Miyajima in Hiroshima, explaining how SmaGO enhances the aesthetics of these regions while optimizing waste collection processes.

During the event, he shared a visionary approach to building a future that coexists with plastics, positioning SmaGO as the starting point for resource circulation. "By utilizing SmaGO, we can make significant strides in addressing the pressing issues of plastic waste and environmental degradation," he said.

The event also featured notable speakers such as Miyoko Tanaka, Vice President of Public Affairs & Sustainability at Coca-Cola Japan, and Mitsukuni Hayashi, CEO of TechnoLab, along with Keisuke Fukuda, Chairman of the NPO green bird.
