LX Pantos Advances Global Expansion with New Logistics Center in Poland
In a bold move to capitalize on the growing logistics market, LX Pantos, a leading global logistics service provider headquartered in South Korea, has made significant strides in expanding its international reach. On March 16, 2026, the company announced its acquisition of a newly constructed logistics center in Katowice, Poland, as part of its strategy to penetrate the Eastern European market. This acquisition involves a consortium that includes the Korea Overseas Infrastructure Urban Development Corporation (KIND) and the PIS No. 2 Fund, a venture associated with the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
The transaction, valued at approximately $148 million, marks a crucial step in LX Pantos's ongoing commitment to enhance its logistical capabilities across the globe. The Katowice Logistics Center encompasses five buildings with a combined area of 109,000 square meters. The complex is being developed in multiple phases, with the goal of full completion slated for the first half of 2026. Notably, several global and local businesses have already entered leasing agreements within this state-of-the-art facility.
With the establishment of this logistics center, LX Pantos aims to create a pivotal logistics hub in Eastern Europe, enabling the company to expand its offerings across various key industries. These include automotive parts, consumer goods, and household appliances – sectors that are vital for driving economic growth in the region. Additionally, the center is strategically designed to serve as a logistics base to support rebuilding efforts in Ukraine once the country begins to recover from its current challenges.
Beyond Europe, LX Pantos is broadly expanding its operations in strategically important global markets, particularly in the United States and Asia. In the U.S., the company has launched Boxlinks LLC, a joint venture with Ocean Network Express (ONE). Through this venture, they acquired a substantial logistics facility in Georgia, covering an impressive 304,769 square meters—equivalent to about 43 football fields—aimed at bolstering their intermodal logistics capabilities.
In Northeast Asia, a partnership has been forged with Sinotrans to establish 'FutureLinks', a new initiative focused on enhancing multimodal transport between China and Korea. This will expand their reach in the rapidly growing maritime and air freight markets, especially driven by the surge in e-commerce traffic originating from China.
According to Lee Yong-ho, the Global CEO of LX Pantos, the company operates in over 40 countries with a network exceeding 380 locations, offering integrated solutions encompassing sea, air, rail, and contract logistics. "In this context, the Katowice Logistics Center is a strategic milestone that reinforces our presence in the European logistics market and strengthens our capacity to serve our clients effectively," said Lee.
Founded in 1977, LX Pantos has established itself as a premier logistics provider, offering comprehensive supply chain services. Aiming for continuous innovation and growth, LX Pantos is well-positioned to not only meet current logistics demands but also to anticipate future market trends and challenges. The overarching goal is to create a seamless logistics experience that enhances operational efficiency and fosters global trade.
