Hisense Achieves Global Leadership in 100-Inch TV Deliveries for the First Half of 2026
In a remarkable achievement, Chinese electronics giant Hisense has claimed the top spot globally in terms of deliveries of televisions measuring 100 inches or more for the first half of 2026. According to Omdia, the company reached an impressive 55.1% market share, reflecting an increasing demand for larger and more immersive screens. This trend hints at a consumer preference for enhancing their viewing experiences at home.
Hisense's commitment to superior viewing experiences is evident in its advanced technology, particularly showcased in its UR9 series. This series utilizes RGB MiniLED technology, which allows for independent control of red, green, and blue light at the backlight source. The result is a richer color palette, deeper contrasts, and greater detail, transforming film viewing into a more cinematic experience while delivering dynamic sports content and realistic scenes.
Beyond the UR9 series, Hisense has also integrated top-tier MiniLED technology in its U7 and U6 Pro series, incorporating Hi-QLED MiniLED features. These televisions utilize precise local dimming married with Quantum Dot technology, resulting in brighter highlights, deeper blacks, and more vibrant colors. This sophisticated technology enables viewers to catch every nuance in films, sports broadcasts, and daily entertainment.
Hisense has also made significant strides in the Laser TV segment, dominating this market with over 70% of global shipments in 2025. In other words, two out of every three Laser TVs delivered worldwide bore the Hisense brand name. This statistic underscores the company's dedication to revolutionizing home entertainment and bringing high-quality viewing experiences to households around the globe.
At IFA 2026, Hisense will continue to expand on its vision of innovation under the theme 'Innovating a Brighter Life'. This initiative will highlight how technology can enhance the way people interact with their home entertainment systems, making them smarter, more engaging, and enjoyable. Hisense will host a press conference at IFA on September 3, from 1500 to 1600 at the Innovation Stage in Messe Berlin. Following this, from September 4 to 8, attendees can visit Hisense's exhibits in Hall 23a from 0900 to 1700.
Hisense continues to lead the charge not only in market share but also in next-generation display technologies. Through its relentless innovation, the company aims to transform technology into experiences that empower users to see more, enjoy more, and live more fully. Founded in 1969, Hisense has established itself as a leader in the global RTV/AGD markets and consumer electronics.
