Returning to Empower Entrepreneurs
Black Ambition has officially announced the return of its highly-anticipated
Fundable Founders Learning Lab for 2026, a groundbreaking initiative designed specifically to uplift entrepreneurs in South Florida, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds. This program's primary goal is to equip founders with the necessary tools and knowledge to secure funding and scale their businesses successfully.
Key Details of the Program
The application period opens on
July 1, 2026, and will remain open until
August 4, 2026. Selected candidates can look forward to a fully virtual program scheduled from
August 18 to October 20, 2026. Best of all, participation in this transformative initiative is
free for Florida-based applicants.
Building on Previous Success
Originally launched in 2025 with a substantial
$1 million contribution from
JPMorganChase, the Lab has already demonstrated its effectiveness in fostering entrepreneurship. The first cohort made significant strides, achieving an impressive 500 measurable business wins, raising over
$274,000 in capital, and creating approximately
51 new job opportunities. An overwhelming
82% of participants rated the program a perfect 5 out of 5.
What to Expect This Year
As it gears up for the 2026 session, the Lab promises to build upon last year’s accomplishments by providing participants with clear, actionable insights and strategies tailored to the current market landscape. During the Lab, founders will engage in a series of expert-led sessions focusing on:
- - Capital readiness: Understanding how to align business plans with funding avenues.
- - Marketing strategies: Developing effective outreach and communication.
- - Partnership cultivation: Learning how to build invaluable alliances that facilitate growth.
- - Customer development: Insights into nurturing and expanding customer bases.
- - AI-enabled growth strategies: Leveraging technology for enhanced productivity.
The program will culminate in the
Fundable Founders Forum, a unique conference that blends strategic instruction with practical implementation, allowing the entrepreneurial community to foster connections and support one another.
Join the Movement
Felecia Hatcher, CEO of Black Ambition, expresses enthusiasm for the program, stating, "Our aim is not just about securing funding but building a robust ecosystem ready to support impactful businesses." Maria Escorcia of JPMorganChase echoes this sentiment, emphasizing the need for enhanced access to training and resources for South Florida's burgeoning enterprises.
Information Sessions
To aid interested founders, Black Ambition will host two virtual information sessions on
July 14 and July 24, 2026, where potential applicants can gather more insights on what it takes to succeed in the program.
Bridging the Opportunity Gap
Florida is home to more than
1.38 million minority-owned businesses, yet many face considerable barriers in accessing capital. The Fundable Founders Learning Lab aims to dismantle these barriers by providing foundational support rather than promising shortcuts.
If you’re a driven founder ready to elevate your business, this is your chance to apply and potentially transform your entrepreneurial journey. We also encourage everyone to explore the
Fundable Founder Marketplace to shop local and support the community.
