Starting August 1st, GRANDUO Kamata is launching an exciting summer initiative titled 'Living with GRANDUO - Expanding Learning through Experience.' This event focuses on the theme of 'mental and physical health,' aiming to foster connections within the local community while providing families with enriching activities during the summer break.

Engaging Family Activities

The initiative showcases a variety of hands-on experiences for children to enjoy and learn. With the summer heat, families can now find new ways to spend quality time together without having to venture far from home. Here’s an overview of the exciting programs on offer:

1. Job Experience Program - Kids’ Career College

From August 3rd to August 21st, children can participate in a unique job experience where they can explore different roles within GRANDUO Kamata. Partnering with various local agencies, special job experiences, including firefighter and tax officer simulations, will also be available.

• - Duration: August 3rd to 21st (dates vary by shop)
• - Participants: Elementary School Students (Grades 1-6)
• - Fee: 1,000 yen (tax included) per child; free for government job experiences
• - Application Deadline: July 5th
• - Perks: Each participant receives a certificate of completion and a GRANDUO gift voucher worth 1,000 yen.

2. Corn Harvest Experience

Experience the joy of harvesting corn, a delightful summer treat! Children can engage in this unique experience while learning about food and nature.

• - Dates: August 1st and 2nd
• - Time Slots: 11:00, 12:00, 14:00, 15:00, and 16:00 (each session lasts about 45 minutes)
• - Participants: Children in elementary school or younger, with a maximum capacity of 20 per session.
• - Conditions: Present a shopping receipt from GRANDUO Kamata of 2,000 yen (can be combined) on the day of the event for a chance to participate.

3. Workshop - Summer Art Decoration

Children can unleash their creativity in an interactive workshop that encourages them to decorate a glass panel with their own designs.

• - Location: 3rd Floor East-West Connection Passage
• - Perk: Children can take home an original badge made from their artwork.

4. Suica Penguin Special Events

Join the fun with the 'Suica Penguin' at GRANDUO Kamata!

• - Photo Session: On August 15th and 16th, families can take pictures with the Suica Penguin based on a purchase receipt of 1,000 yen or more using Suica electronic money.
• - Lucky Draw: Also on August 15th and 16th from 12:00 to 17:00, spend 500 yen or more to enter a draw for exciting original Suica merchandise.

5. Kids' Uniform Photo Spot

To bring the excitement of railways closer to children, a special photo spot featuring JR East children's uniforms will be available. This is a chance for families to capture memorable moments.

• - Time: 12:00 to 17:00 daily
