Coca-Cola Revamps Sokenbicha with Innovative BeauteaBlend
Coca-Cola System is set to refresh its long-standing tea brand, Sokenbicha, with a new formulation known as BeauteaBlend™. Starting September 8, 2025, this revamped beverage promises a delightful experience that embodies the brand's essence of being refreshing, healthy, and beautiful.
Originally launched in 1994, Sokenbicha has maintained its position as the number one blended tea product in Japan, adapting its ingredients over the years to meet changing consumer preferences. The new blend includes an intriguing addition: corn silk, along with a selection of 12 plant-derived ingredients. Known for its zero caffeine, the refreshed Sokenbicha promises a roasted flavor and is easy to drink, ensuring it appeals to a broad audience.
In addition to the classic hot Sokenbicha, Coca-Cola will also introduce a convenient 1.25L bottle for those who prefer a portable option—ideal for single-person households and those needing smaller sizes. This new offering is coupled with a fresh packaging design that symbolizes “inner beauty” through a watery droplet motif on the front. Inside each droplet, elements inspired by the blend's ingredients are incorporated, further enhancing the product’s appeal.
To celebrate this launch, Coca-Cola has appointed Licca-chan, a beloved character known across generations, as the limited-time spokesperson for Sokenbicha. Starting September 8, 2025, Licca-chan will take the reins of the official Sokenbicha social media accounts, bringing even more excitement to the brand's new offerings and campaigns.
