Yardi Enhances Payment Processing Capabilities for Canadian Property Managers

Yardi® has announced an exciting expansion of its payment processing solutions specifically tailored for Canadian property managers using the Voyager platform. With the introduction of three essential features—same-day and next-day card settlements, a pay-by-link option, and payment terminals—Yardi aims to alleviate some of the most significant obstacles that property managers have faced in accepting card payments.

Addressing the Challenges of Card Payments

Historically, many property managers have been hesitant to adopt card payment systems due to concerns over settlement timing and operational complexity. Yardi's new capabilities directly address these issues by ensuring that card payments can now settle just as quickly as Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT). This means that funds will be deposited into accounts on the same day or the next day, greatly improving the reconciliation process for deposits.

New Features Launched

1. Same-Day and Next-Day Card Settlement: This feature resolves the primary objection property managers have regarding card acceptance. By aligning card settlement timelines with EFT schedules, property managers can expect their funds sooner, thus enhancing their cash flow management.

2. Pay by Link: Property managers can now send a payment link via email or QR code, allowing tenants to make payments effortlessly without needing to log into an online portal. This feature is particularly useful for one-time payments or move-in transactions, streamlining the payment process for both parties.

3. Payment Terminals: With the introduction of tap-to-pay functionality in leasing offices, Yardi’s fully integrated terminals allow for automatic posting and reconciliation of payments alongside all other transactions processed through Yardi Payment Processing.
