MEXC Ventures Champions Innovation at Korea's Blockchain-AI Ideathon
On May 16, 2025, the vibrant setting of Korea University's Hana Square hosted a groundbreaking event—the 2025 Korea University Blockchain Startup Ideathon. Spearheaded by MEXC Ventures as a prominent sponsor, this event brought together young minds and academic stalwarts to explore innovations in blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI). It was a testament to the unyielding spirit of students eager to make their mark in these rapidly evolving fields.
The ideathon was co-hosted by the Korea University's College of Informatics, the KU Blockchain Research Institute, and TokenPost. It stood out owing to its dual tracks: one focused on blockchain technology and the other on AI, fostering a competitive spirit among the participants. The blockchain track attracted 27 entries, from which 10 teams were chosen to advance to the finals. Similarly, the AI track received 36 submissions, with an equal number of finalists emerging from the pool. Overall, 208 participants showcased their talents in front of a diverse audience.
The final presentations drew an impressive attendance of over 600 individuals, including students, faculty members, industry experts, and investors, reflecting a growing interest in these innovative sectors.
