Boulmih's Peaceful Macarons: A Sweet Tribute to Unity
This May 1st marks an exciting new chapter for Boulmih as it partners with the talented food artist Izumi Kamoshida to unveil new designs of their iconic Peaceful Macarons. This initiative is part of an ongoing project aligning with SDG Goal 10, which focuses on reducing inequalities among people and nations. The new macarons will be available across department stores and specialty shops nationwide.
As the Peaceful Macarons enter their second year, they continue to embody the beauty of nature and the spirit of peace. Each macaron is designed to represent the four seasons, featuring six types of flowers that symbolize the essence of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. At the heart of this arrangement sits a delicate white dove, a universal symbol of peace. The colors of the macarons reflect the ambiance and light of each season, creating a visually stunning experience.

Purpose Behind Peaceful Macarons
The project is driven by a commitment to convey gratitude through the fusion of sweets and art. It aims to raise awareness about various forms of inequity that exist in the world today, whether based on gender, nationality, or economic status. More than just visually appealing, these macarons serve as a medium for sharing heartfelt messages that encourage reflection on social issues.
By promoting inclusivity and respect for diverse backgrounds and values, the Peaceful Macarons become vessels for conveying thankfulness that can be gifted to others. Through the act of sharing, these macarons plant seeds of kindness in the hearts of recipients, fostering a ripple effect of gratitude that extends to others.
New Seasonal Designs
The designs for May, June, and July incorporate various flowers along with their profound meanings:
- - Baby Blue Eyes 'Success Everywhere' / Lily of the Valley 'Happiness Returns': These delicate flowers represent courage and the return of joy, highlighted by their soothing blue and white hues.
- - Hydrangea 'Family Gathering' / Lavender 'Waiting for You': The blend of colors symbolizes cherished moments of togetherness and tranquility.
- - Sunflower 'Longing' / Dahlia 'Grace': They evoke a sense of strength and resplendent beauty, encouraging individuals to shine brightly in their future endeavors.
The six flowers narrate a hopeful story of courage leading to happiness, bonds of connection to serenity, and aspirations towards brilliance.
Engaging the Community
In addition to the seasonal macarons, Boulmih and Izumi Kamoshida aim to deepen the understanding of SDGs. As part of this commitment, a children’s picture book titled 'Peaceful Macaron' will be shared across social media platforms. The original artworks from this book will also be displayed at Boulmih's Ginza flagship store.
