Bulgin Expands Hybrid Connector Range with 6000 Series Buccaneer Connectors for Enhanced Connectivity

Introducing Bulgin's 6000 Series Buccaneer Hybrid Connectors

Bulgin, a prominent name in the realm of environmentally protected connectors and components, recently unveiled its new 6000 Series Buccaneer hybrid connectors. Tailored for power and signal connectivity, these innovative connectors are designed specifically for applications where space is limited, such as testing and measurement devices, sensors, and control systems.

An Innovative Solution for Modern Requirements

In today’s fast-paced tech landscape, the demand for efficient connectivity solutions is constantly evolving. Bulgin addressed this need by merging power and signal contacts into a single interface without compromising on robust performance. This approach not only optimizes space utilization but also simplifies wiring processes, eliminating the need for separate power and signal cabling.

Technical Specifications

The new connectors are equipped with two primary power contacts rated at 16 A and three signal contacts rated at 3 A. Developers now have the flexibility to choose from three configurations featuring two, four, or six signal connections, allowing for customized solutions tailored to specific application needs. This combination ensures that the 6000 Series maintains its high-performance reputation while adapting to modern design requirements.

Mark Berry, Vice President of Product and Portfolio Management at Infinite Electronics, highlighted the significance of this launch, stating, "Modern design requires a smaller footprint without compromising performance. The Hybrid Buccaneer connectors exemplify our team’s technical precision and successfully integrate high-current power and signal channels within a sealed interface, providing an optimized solution designed to withstand harsh environments."

Durability at Its Core

Maintaining Bulgin’s legacy of durability, the new range of connectors upholds the trusted design of the existing 6000 Series Buccaneer connectors. This includes a 30-degree push/pull locking mechanism and similar panel mounting options. Furthermore, these hybrid connectors boast an impressive IP68 certification, having been tested for two weeks under 10 meters of water to ensure reliable protection under demanding conditions. Additionally, they have passed rigorous tests for salt spray, dust resistance, and thermal endurance, confirming their robustness.

Showcasing Innovations at electronica

Bulgin's latest innovations, including the 6000 Series hybrid Buccaneer connectors, will be showcased at the upcoming electronica trade fair, taking place from November 10-13. Visitors can see these cutting-edge solutions at the Infinite Electronics booth 241 in Hall A3, alongside offerings tailored for data centers, energy solutions, drones, and industrial automation.
