Experience the Majestic SORAYAMA Exhibition with Special Dishes and Photo Opportunities in Tokyo

A Grand Retrospective: SORAYAMA Light, Transparency, Reflection in Tokyo

From March 14 to May 31, 2026, the CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO in Kyobashi, Tokyo, will host the largest retrospective of acclaimed artist Hajime Sorayama. The exhibition entitled ‘SORAYAMA Light, Transparency, Reflection: TOKYO’ will showcase a mesmerizing array of his robotic artwork, known for their futuristic and seductive aesthetics.

In addition to stunning exhibits, visitors will be treated to a delightful culinary experience at the SORAYAMA TAKEN CAFE & BAR, featuring a special collaboration menu designed by the exhibition ambassador, Airi Kubozuka. This exclusive café will present a unique Apple Pie, meticulously crafted by Kubozuka himself, combining a flaky crust with a perfect balance of tart apples, served alongside yogurt and raisins. Priced at 1,390 yen, this dessert promises to be a delectable highlight for all visitors.

Airi Kubozuka and Hajime Sorayama

Airi Kubozuka, born in 2003 and hailing from Yokosuka, Kanagawa, made his acting debut in the 2018 film ‘Naki Mushisottan no Kiseki’ and has been gaining popularity since formally starting his acting career in 2021. Expressing his excitement about being the ambassador for Sorayama’s most significant retrospective, Kubozuka said, “I feel immensely honored and thrilled to be part of this exhibition. Sorayama's robots encapsulate the brilliance of infusing light into inorganic forms, showcasing limitless possibilities. As a fellow artist, I deeply appreciate his unwavering pursuit of interest and the energy that has birthed many incredible works.”

A Unique Photo Experience Awaits

Adding to the interactive elements of the exhibition, a Photomatic photo booth will be installed, offering attendees a chance to capture their memories in style. With seven original frames inspired by the exhibition’s key artworks, visitors can take home unique photographs. The themes of these frames include iconic visuals such as the Sexy Robot against a Tokyo skyline and imaginative interpretations from Sorayama’s Space Traveler installation.

Each photo session costs 800 yen, allowing participants to take home one printed shot along with static and video data. Additionally, between March 24 and April 28, 2026, the special collaboration frames will also be available for use at Photomatic Shibuya, further extending the opportunity for immersive photo experiences.
