Starting July 16, 2026, Tsutaya Bookstore will exclusively offer a unique range of fashion merchandise produced in collaboration with the iconic American magazine brand
Playboy, the innovative Taiwanese creative brand
FILTER017®, and renowned artist
Baku Maeda. The items will initially be available at Tsutaya Bookstore's Daikanyama location and will gradually roll out to additional stores in Roppongi, Kyoto, and Ropponmatsu. Customers can also purchase these products through the Tsutaya Bookstore online store beginning on the same date.
This fresh collection of products is the brainchild of
Enzo Lin, the artistic director of FILTER017®, who collaborated closely with Baku Maeda as a guest artist. The items have been produced by the creative unit Culture Supply™, representing the melding of
Playboy's artistic heritage with the cutting-edge design aesthetics that FILTER017® is known for. Inspired by the artistic side of Playboy, this collaboration reimagines the brand's visual language through an engagingly contemporary lens, showcasing modern editorial design infused with elements from various creative domains.
Baku Maeda stirs up a conversation with his signature motif, the
'EYE OF FIRE', as he reconstructs the iconic Playboy Bunny logo and its characters, transforming the vintage magazine covers into artwork reinterpreted from a modern perspective. This launch invites fans and fashion enthusiasts alike to experience a new visual narrative that celebrates both historical and contemporary elements seamlessly.

Renowned for his bold colors, simple lines, and intriguing forms, Maeda showcases complex themes through subtle humor and a playful spirit.
