ReFrame Starts Crowdfunding for Permanent Children's Cafeteria in Hamamatsu

ReFrame Launches Crowdfunding for a Children's Cafeteria in Hamamatsu

ReFrame, a non-profit organization established by former Jubilo Iwata players Daiki Ogawa and Daiki Yamada, has embarked on an exciting new crowdfunding initiative through Spportunity, a crowdfunding platform specializing in supporting teams, groups, and athletes. This project aims to create a permanent children's cafeteria, a long-standing dream for the founders, under the slogan "#A Place for Everyone."

Founded in 2022, ReFrame is based on the duo's experiences visiting children's facilities and pediatric wards during their professional soccer careers. The organization is dedicated to broadening the horizons of children's dreams by providing various support services, including hands-on experiences, meal provisions, and resources. In 2024, ReFrame plans to transition to an official NPO as they expand their outreach. Motivated by their own experiences of support while playing soccer, Ogawa and Yamada felt compelled to give back to the community, focusing on creating systems that aid children and families primarily in western Shizuoka Prefecture.

Currently, the organization is working on multiple initiatives, including establishing a permanent children's cafeteria, creating the "Hamamatsu Children's Fund" to support local children, and facilitating events and lectures to raise awareness of social issues.

Why This Crowdfunding Matters

This crowdfunding campaign is specifically designed to gather funds for the initial setup costs of a multi-functional children's cafeteria in Hamamatsu. The goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where children can enjoy meals, engage in learning, seek advice, and connect with their community. Funds will be utilized for property acquisition, renovations, equipment installation, and ensuring safety and health standards are met to create an environment conducive to learning and social interaction. The cafeteria will serve as a “second home” for children, enabling them to stop by after school to do homework, talk with someone, or simply share a meal.

The essence of this project lies in fostering a reassuring environment for children who often feel overwhelmed by their circumstances. The initiative strives to reduce the number of children who might give up on their dreams due to their upbringing. Support from the community is crucial to establishing this safe haven where children can smile and take their first steps toward a brighter future.
