Embracing a Legacy: The Story of 'Farm Inn Kakashi'
'Farm Inn Kakashi', founded in 1988 by the Murata couple in Minakami Town, Gunma Prefecture, is a sanctuary for guests seeking a unique fusion of organic farming and hospitality. The journey began when Yoshitaka Murata, a former programmer in Tokyo, realized the need for a life change. After leaving a demanding corporate job, he discovered farming and its deep connection to the community and nature.
Living in a cooperative farm in Ibaraki Prefecture, Murata immersed himself in organic agriculture, enhancing his skills until he returned to Tokyo, where he gained culinary experience to complement his newfound passion. Eventually, he was drawn back to the welcoming town of Minakami, a place enriched with natural hot springs and a community open to newcomers.
Two years later, after moving to Minakami, Murata worked tirelessly, balancing farming and hotel work. He discovered a mineral spring in the area, recognized its potential for therapeutic baths, and teamed it with organic vegetables from his garden.
Thus, 'Farm Inn Kakashi' was born, named after the patient scarecrow, symbolizing perseverance and dedication to the land. The name also connects to the song
