Ho Chi Minh University’s Intensive Logistics Course
On August 5, 2023, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan announced the successful completion of intensive logistics lectures held at Ho Chi Minh University of Transport. This initiative aimed at training skilled professionals who will support the logistics industry in Vietnam, reinforcing the logistic management capabilities in the ASEAN region since its inception in 2015.
This collaborative effort took place with the support of the SGH Foundation, where esteemed instructors from Sagawa Global Logistics Co., Ltd. and SG Sagawa Vietnam conducted the course.

The initiative is part of a broader program that targets the enhancement of logistics management talent across ASEAN countries. The recent lecture series involved 220 students from Ho Chi Minh University, focusing on practical improvements in logistics operations and international standards related to cold chain logistics. With an emphasis on Japan's logistics policies, students participated in hands-on experiences designed to expose them to the latest trends and technologies in the field of logistics.

Future Directions
The Ministry recognizes that the sustainable development of the logistics sector in ASEAN hinges on securing and cultivating talented professionals locally. To this end, ongoing collaborations between the public and private sectors will be essential for nurturing the next generation of logistics leaders in Vietnam.
This initiative underscores the importance of fostering international cooperation in logistics education, ensuring that students are not only equipped with theoretical knowledge but also practical skills needed to thrive in an evolving industry.
