Unlocking Revit for Beginners: Family Creation Made Easy with C&R

Unlocking Revit: Essential Family Creation for Beginners

As the building and construction industry embraces new technologies, Revit, a powerful BIM software developed by Autodesk, stands out for its precision in 3D modeling. Designed extensively for architects and design professionals, its myriad features can often overwhelm new users. Understanding the intricacies of creating families within Revit can seem daunting to those who have just started. To address these challenges, C&R Corporation is hosting a series of webinars designed specifically for beginners.

The two-part webinar series titled “Understanding Revit Families for Beginners” is set to be held on February 18 and February 25, 2026. These sessions aim to provide hands-on insights and foster a better understanding of Revit’s functionalities. The webinars are tailored for those who have less than 1.5 years of experience with Revit, targeting individuals facing common challenges such as navigating the software effectively.

During the first session on February 18, renowned BIM manager Mayu Nakagawa will introduce the concept of window families. Participants will learn key aspects including the creation of water drainage details, 2D representations, and how to categorize types within the type catalog. The second session will summarize the entire process, encompassing all the necessary steps to effectively create door families, ensuring participants walk away with a comprehensive understanding.
