With this strategy, they can dynamically switch network operators in vehicles as needed, thereby optimizing costs, logistics, and operational performance. Furthermore, by equipping vehicles with IST's eSIM technology, manufacturers can eliminate the need for region-specific SIM variants, significantly simplifying supply chains while ensuring robust connectivity across all markets.

Under this partnership, IDEMIA will manage connectivity for HMG’s vehicles, including models from Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis, equipped with eSIMs in strategically targeted markets worldwide. Given that HMG produces millions of vehicles annually, this partnership will see millions of connected vehicles outfitted with IST's eSIM technology each year. The rollout commenced in 2025, starting in the Middle East, where vehicles will be equipped with ready-to-use global connectivity, enabling seamless, location-tailored updates.
