Significant Infrastructure Project in Arida City
The urban landscape of Arida City is set to undergo substantial transformation as Suing Engineering Co. Ltd., a group company of Suing Corp, officially kicks off its waste disposal facility development project. This initiative, crucial for maintaining environmental standards and public health, was marked by a safety prayer ceremony held on July 8, 2026, alongside joint venture partner Yatogumi Corp.
Background of the Project
Arida City’s sanitation facility project aims to revamp a sewage processing center that has been in operation for around 60 years. With the city’s ongoing commitment to public health and the environment, the necessity for upgrading this essential infrastructure has never been more pressing. In October 2025, a joint venture led by Suing Engineering secured the contract to oversee the design and construction through a Design-Build approach.
The existing facility, a cornerstone of local public health, requires modernization to ensure reliable processing capabilities well into the future. The new facility will be constructed on part of the current site while maintaining operations at the existing structure, ensuring seamless service delivery during the upgrade. This strategic move is anticipated to enhance operational efficiency and reduce the ecological footprint of waste management in the region, thus contributing positively to the community’s quality of life.

The safety prayer ceremony, held before construction commenced, saw the attendance of approximately 40 individuals, including Arida City Mayor Hisato Tamaki and various stakeholders connected to the project. The ceremonial rites included purification rituals and offerings, during which all participants expressed their hopes for safety and success throughout the construction phase.
At the event, representatives from both the client and the contractor delivered remarks, reaffirming their commitment to prioritizing safety and facilitating a smooth undertaking of this crucial environmental infrastructure project.
Suing Engineering’s President, Akinobu Suyam, expressed the significance of their role in this project, stating, “The commencement of this safety prayer ceremony truly underscores our responsibility toward enhancing Arida City's vital infrastructure. We will ensure that safety is our utmost priority throughout the construction, striving for zero accidents or incidents to deliver a facility that the local residents can trust and utilize with peace of mind.”
