The Award-Winning Project Explained
Kuradashi has dedicated its efforts to tackle food waste through its innovative platform. The company specializes in purchasing quality food products that are often discarded due to short shelf-life, damaged packaging, or impacts from natural disasters. These products are made available to consumers at discounted prices through its social good marketplace, Kuradashi, thus developing a unique secondary distribution market known as "1.5次流通" (1.5 Times Distribution).
The core of the project that earned Kuradashi this recognition is its proprietary predictive tool, "Kuradashi Forecast." Utilizing data from its 1.5次流通 activities, Kuradashi developed an AI-based solution capable of predicting potential inventory stagnation in food manufacturing and retail sectors well in advance. This initiative goes beyond merely implementing digital tools; it offers real value by transforming the very structure of the food industry into one that minimizes waste through proactive information sharing.
What is Kuradashi Forecast?
"Kuradashi Forecast" represents a game-changing service for food manufacturers. It integrates inventory and sales management data via API or CSV, enabling the early identification of high-risk SKUs for inventory stagnation. Backed by Kuradashi's extensive experience as a marketplace operator, this tool offers insights based on market price dynamics, which helps manufacturers not only forecast but also manage their surplus stock efficiently. Furthermore, it suggests optimal selling price ranges and facilitates purchasing offers through the Kuradashi platform.
Currently, Kuradashi is rolling out trial implementations of Kuradashi Forecast, continuously tailoring its system to meet specific enterprise needs and enhance accuracy in food waste reduction efforts.
Commitment to Reducing Food Waste
Kuradashi is committed to becoming a "Social Growth Company," striving to convert various social issues—particularly food waste—into valuable opportunities while creating a notable positive impact on society, the environment, and the economy.
