Utah Sports Commission Presents the 5th Annual Tony Hawk's Vert Alert
The renowned Utah Sports Commission has teamed up with Tony Hawk Inc. to announce the highly anticipated return of Tony Hawk's Vert Alert (THVA). Scheduled to take place on July 18th and 19th, 2025, at the prestigious Jon M. Huntsman Center at the University of Utah, this year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever. Given its past successes from 2021 to 2024, the event has solidified its status as a cornerstone in the skateboarding community, showcasing the thrilling world of vert skateboarding to a growing global audience.
A Weekend Full of Thrills
The weekend kicks off with exhilarating semi-final rounds featuring the most talented male and female skaters from around the globe. Friday's lineup also includes the much-loved Legends Demo, where skateboarding legends will display their incredible skills and electric performances. For fans, this is a chance to witness history in the making as legends come together to celebrate the sport's beloved culture.
Saturday's events will present the edge-of-your-seat climax: the THVA Finals. This year's competition will host twenty elite skaters, both men and women, as they battle it out in a quest for glory, and the highly coveted Best Trick Contest will add another layer of excitement. With a total prize purse of $75,000 up for grabs, spectators can expect jaw-dropping performances featuring some of the largest airs and most innovative tricks in vert skateboarding—all on Hawk's state-of-the-art vert ramp.
Fans will also be treated to a special appearance by Tony Hawk himself on both days, ensuring a memorable experience they won’t want to miss. In addition to the competitive events, attendees can explore the free interactive sponsor village, featuring various activities and engagements that will enhance their overall experience.

Last year made headlines with outstanding prodigies taking home various titles, including Gui Khury, Moto Shibata, and Arisa Trew.
