ChangAn and Global Media Collaborate at Auto Shanghai 2025

On April 26, 2025, ChangAn Automobile made headlines at Auto Shanghai 2025 with its theme, "Together for a Smarter World." This prestigious event saw ChangAn present its latest technological advancements, innovative branding, and commitment to sustainable development, gathering nearly 600 national and international media representatives and over 500 global partners in Shanghai to explore a shared vision for the future.

The first day of the event was highlighted by a series of significant press conferences and information sessions led by ChangAn. The company unveiled models from its three main brands: CHANG-AN, DEEPAL, and AVATR, each showcasing unique strengths. A key announcement was the official pricing and specifications of the Q07 model, designed to provide a comfortable and worry-free driving experience. Meanwhile, the DEEPAL brand, aiming at younger consumers, unveiled the full-size SUV S09, while the AVATR 06 caught attention as a luxury electric vehicle replete with advanced design and assisted driving technology, aimed at understanding and connecting with its driver.

Attendees were treated to interactive experiences, such as a ride in the CHANG-AN E07, equipped with the Intelligent TH chassis, which offered synchronized experiences of leaf and snow movements set to music. These features highlighted the capabilities of ChangAn's digital platform, SDA, and its advancements in smart perception technology. Additional interactive elements included robotic dogs and humanoid robots, demonstrating the company's multi-scenario intelligent technology applications. The event further showcased ChangAn's TS Drive intelligent system, TY smart cabin, and BlueCore 3.0 technology, all marking new heights in smart vehicle capabilities.

Zhu Huarong, President of ChangAn Automobile, delivered an inaugural speech during the conference where he announced a remarkable 34.2% rise in global sales, reaching 2.684 million vehicles sold in 2024. Among these, 735,000 were new energy vehicles and 536,000 were sold internationally. Li Mingcai, Executive Vice President of ChangAn, also highlighted significant global milestones, including the establishment of the company’s first international new energy vehicle manufacturing plant in Thailand and eight overseas partnerships that escalated their production capacities to 580,000 units. In 2024, ChangAn ranked as one of China's top three automobile exporters, with over 500,000 international sales and revenue exceeding $11 billion. Furthermore, the brand expanded into 20 new countries, establishing operations in over 100 worldwide and managing 1,150 sales channels. Li stated, “This year, we will finalize our branch installations in the Middle East, Australia, and the UK, and accelerate operations in high-potential markets such as Europe, Brazil, Australia, and Indonesia. By 2025, we aim to have 10 regional business entities in place.”

ChangAn remains focused on transforming into a world-class brand through a robust commitment to technological innovation. Wang Xiaofei, Executive Vice President of ChangAn, reported that the company invested more than 40 billion yuan over the past decade focused on three key areas of new energy. In the upcoming decade, ChangAn plans to invest over 200 billion yuan in the future of automotive technology, expanding its R&D team by 10,000 and developing intelligent robots for cars and flying vehicles, with flight tests anticipated by year-end.

In pursuing high-quality corporate development, ChangAn has also deeply integrated sustainability into its strategy and operations. In April 2025, the company released its ESG Report for 2024, which highlights its efforts in green ecosystems, products, services, and community partnerships. In 2024, sales of new energy vehicles reached 735,000 units, contributing to a reduction of 5.5 million tons of carbon emissions throughout their lifecycle—equivalent to planting 10,000 hectares of trees and positively impacting the development of a low-carbon ecosystem through green transformation. Looking ahead, Li affirmed, “ChangAn will robustly promote our Vast Ocean Plan, allowing more global users to enjoy an eco-friendly, intelligent, high-quality, and efficient ChangAn.”
