Pegatron 5G Teams Up with Industry Leaders to Enhance Private Network Solutions at MWC 2025
Pegatron 5G Showcases Innovative Solutions at MWC 2025
Pegatron 5G is making waves at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, where it is introducing a range of cutting-edge end-to-end 5G O-RAN products. The company's impressive lineup includes the RedCap Dongle, intelligent cameras, and low-latency 5G enterprise networks. With these solutions, Pegatron aims to revolutionize private network capabilities, positioning itself as a key player in the telecommunications industry.
During this year’s MWC, Pegatron 5G's General Manager CY Feng expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with industry giants like Qualcomm Technologies, Radisys, VIAVI, and HMS Networks. Together, they will enhance the performance and reliability of industry and enterprise networks. Feng emphasized that their products are designed to meet complex network demands while providing better affordability and accessible advanced functionalities.
Demonstrating Advanced Capabilities
A highlight of Pegatron's showcase is the live demonstration of an end-to-end RedCap network featuring the Snapdragon® X35 modem-RF system-compatible 5G “Muscat” camera and the “MD200” 5G dongle. Gautam Sheoran, Qualcomm’s VP and General Manager for Wireless Broadband, praised Pegatron for reaching a milestone in making advanced 5G capabilities more affordable without compromising quality. He noted that this development is crucial for making high-value technology accessible to the market.
Enhancing Low-Latency Communications
In collaboration with VIAVI, Pegatron demonstrated a 5G network configured to minimize latency over the ORAN topology. Utilizing advanced optimization functionalities, including the proprietary “Themis” scheduler developed by Pegatron, the team showcased significant reductions in both latency and jitter. David Hoelscher, VP and Senior Product Manager at Pegatron, explained that with supportive partners like Radisys and Metanoia, Pegatron is focused on delivering industrial networks capable of meeting the high-speed demands of modern applications.
Layer 2 PDU Enhancements
Another impressive demonstration from Pegatron involved Layer 2 PDU transmission over 5G. This showcased the wireless transmission of the PROFINET Industrial Ethernet Protocol facilitated by the HMS Networks Anybus Communicator. Henrik Arleving, Product Manager of Anybus Wireless at HMS Networks, stated that these innovations would dramatically improve the efficiency and adaptability of traditional manufacturing operations on their journey towards Industry 4.0.
Revolutionizing Private Network Solutions
The PNW-2400, a Network-in-Radio integrating Pegatron’s Small-Cell Radio Chassis (PS2400) and Radisys’ enhanced 5G core platform, emphasizes Pegatron’s commitment to robust private 5G networks. The device is engineered to meet the demands for performance, cost, and size, crucial for facilities requiring on-site flexibility and reliability. The PNW-2400’s integrated capabilities allow for seamless operations even in remote areas, thanks to its lightweight design and connectivity options including LEO satellite communication.
Munish Chhabra, head of the Mobility Software and Services Segment at Radisys, expressed excitement over the collaboration with Pegatron to enhance the PNW-2400. Together, they aim to optimize connectivity solutions suited for maritime communication, disaster relief, and emergency services under extreme conditions.
