Air Products to Showcase Innovations at Glass Problems Conference

Air Products (NYSE: APD) is set to highlight its latest advancements in industrial gas technology at the 86th Conference on Glass Problems, taking place from October 6 to 8 in Toledo, Ohio. This annual event is critical for the glass industry, where leaders come together to address challenges and share solutions. Air Products will prominently feature state-of-the-art technologies to enhance glass melting processes and downstream operations.

Some of the groundbreaking innovations Air Products will present include oxygen enrichment techniques, oxy-fuel combustion processes, waste heat recovery systems, and smart technologies designed to improve production efficiency. These developments aim to not only boost glass output but also to lower fuel consumption, enhance product quality, and reduce harmful emissions—ultimately supporting a more sustainable glass manufacturing landscape.

During the conference, Air Products will host a unique exhibit and hospitality event at the Hilton Garden Inn Toledo Downtown, combining insightful discussions with industry specialists and a chance for attendees to engage one-on-one. This dual-purpose gathering will take place from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on October 6 and from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on October 7. In a philanthropic twist, for every visitor to its exhibit, Air Products Foundation will donate $100 (up to $15,000 total) to the Ceramic and Glass Industry Foundation, fostering innovation for future generations in this field.

A highlight of the conference will be the presentation of the Women in Glass Award, sponsored by Air Products, recognizing outstanding female leaders in the glass sector. This award aims to celebrate those who excel in inspiring, motivating, and developing talent within the industry.

Additionally, Air Products plans to conduct a technical presentation titled "Glass Defect Reduction in the Tin Bath – Using Sensors, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence to Improve Glass Quality Manufacturing" on the morning of October 8 at the Glass City Center.
