The world-renowned beer brand, Corona, is landing in Japan with its non-alcoholic product, Corona Cero, loved in 54 countries. From July 28, 2024, this refreshing non-alcoholic delight will be available nationwide. The announcement was made by AB InBev Japan LLC, the company that also brings us popular brands like Budweiser and Hoegaarden. Corona Cero is crafted using a de-alcoholization process, ensuring a taste that stays true to the renowned Corona Extra beer.

Perfectly suited for those looking for a refreshing drink without the buzz, Corona Cero is designed to be enjoyed anytime, anywhere. Whether you're at a beach party or relaxing in your backyard, the iconic bottle topped with a lime slice evokes the spirit of summer and excitement, much like its alcoholic counterpart. In anticipation of the release, select retailers and restaurants will have the product available starting July 14.

To celebrate this launch, a special event named “Corona Urban Oasis” will take place from July 11 to July 13 at Tokyu Plaza Harajuku. This immersive experience will showcase the lifestyle that the brand promotes, combining nature and urban relaxation, allowing guests to sample Corona Cero while enjoying unique dining options. The event underlines the commitment of AB InBev to make Corona Cero a beloved choice during the summer months.

Recently, the pandemic has influenced consumer habits, leading to an increase in demand for non-alcoholic beverages. Recognizing this shift, AB InBev has aggressively expanded in this area, currently offering 28 non-alcoholic brands across the globe, positioning itself as the leader in the non-alcoholic beer market. Corona Cero is the third non-alcoholic product introduced in Japan, following Budweiser Zero and Hoegaarden Zero, proving AB InBev’s dedication to catering to varied consumer preferences.

Corona Cero debuted in Canada in 2022, quickly gaining popularity, and has expanded to over 180 countries since then. Its unique flavor has garnered recognition, having won the World Beer Awards for three consecutive years (2022, 2023, 2024). With a crisp and refreshing taste that perfectly complements lime, Corona Cero provides a flavorful alternative for consumers who are health-conscious or prefer to enjoy a drink without alcohol.
