With just 200 days remaining until the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), the CIIE Bureau has intensified its global promotional efforts. Two delegations were dispatched to Europe to engage key stakeholders and enhance participation, targeting countries that have historically supported the event. The first delegation visited Germany from March 30 to April 3, participating in Hannover Messe 2025, where they connected with notable entities like Baden-Württemberg International and Festo to explore potential collaborations.
Germany has consistently played a significant role in the CIIE, with over 26,000 square meters of exhibition space occupied during the previous edition. Prominent industry players such as Bayer and Zeiss presented innovative products and technologies, emphasizing their commitment to modern industrial development.
Following the German visit, the second delegation traveled to Finland, Belgium, and Norway from April 22 to 30, two nations that have actively participated in CIIE since its inception. Finland, for instance, showcased its fourth national pavilion at the 7th CIIE, featuring 18 companies focusing on sustainable mining, biological solutions, and food exports. Spain also utilized the event to display a range of products, significantly benefiting from China's vast market opportunities.
In Norway, seafood exports to China exceeded 126,000 tons by September 2024, marking a 16% year-on-year growth. Celebrating 70 years of diplomatic ties with China, Norway set up its national pavilion for the first time at the last CIIE. Supported by Innovation Norway, 12 esteemed Norwegian companies and the Norwegian Seafood Council presented various goods, including maritime products and consumer goods.
The countdown to the 8th CIIE officially commenced on April 18, reflecting the growing interest surrounding this global event. The CIIE serves as a vital platform for companies to expand their reach and tap into new markets. As the expo draws near, stakeholders are encouraged to visit the official CIIE website for more details and to secure their participation, ensuring they do not miss the opportunity to be part of this expansive trade platform.
