MADD Expands Leadership Team with New Board Members to Combat Drunk Driving

MADD Welcomes New Leaders to the Board

Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD) has recently bolstered its commitment to combat impaired driving with the addition of several influential members to its National Board of Directors. This strategic move comes in response to a troubling 33% increase in impaired driving incidents since 2019, as the organization aims to reinforce its lifesaving mission.

The newly appointed board members include James Wetrich, Colin Campbell, Twanna Harris, Jill Hazelbaker, Carolyn Murray, Kelly Walters Schulz, and Britta Steinbrenner. Each of these leaders brings unique expertise and passion for preventing impaired driving and supporting victims and their families.

Sophia Toh, chair of the National Board, expressed her excitement about the new appointments, stating, "MADD's mission is as urgent as ever. I am honored to welcome these distinguished leaders to our National Board of Directors. Their backgrounds and deep commitment to safety and advocacy will help expand MADD's reach, amplify our voice, and drive meaningful action."

Stacey D. Stewart, MADD’s CEO, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the board's vital role in furthering the organization's goals. "We are incredibly fortunate to welcome such an accomplished and passionate group of leaders. Their collective expertise will strengthen our efforts to eliminate impaired driving, support victims and survivors, and create safer roads for all."
