Discover the Future of Manufacturing at Kennametal's IMTS 2026 Exhibit
Kennametal Inc., a leader in industrial technology, is set to showcase its Next Level Shop exhibit at IMTS 2026, from September 14 to 19 at McCormick Place in Chicago. This innovative presentation promises a dynamic and immersive experience, highlighting advancements in metalworking and manufacturing solutions. The focus will be on interactive displays, including live machining demonstrations and discussions led by industry experts.
The highlight of the exhibit will be the live customization of an Indian Sport Chief motorcycle, featuring Carey Hart, legendary motorsport figure and WIDIA brand ambassador. Together with Satya Kraus, CEO of KRAUS MOTO, the team will manufacture components for the motorcycle using state-of-the-art 5-axis CNC machines, employing tools from both Kennametal and WIDIA. As the custom motorcycle takes shape throughout the week, attendees will have the chance to engage with the craft, witness expert techniques, and learn about the latest innovations available.
Moreover, the Next Level Shop aims to recreate the spirited collaboration seen in modern manufacturing environments. This is an extension of the concept introduced during the Metal Mania experience a couple of years ago, combining machinery, technology, and skilled craftsmanship to tackle real-world manufacturing challenges. Attendees are encouraged to interact with engineers and partners to explore how cutting-edge technology can increase productivity in their shops.
"What we’re doing this year at IMTS is designed with our customers in mind," commented Dave Bersaglini, vice president and president of Kennametal's Metal Cutting division. "Manufacturers are looking for integrated solutions that not only provide great tools but also help them work smarter, solve complex challenges, and boost productivity. The Next Level Shop system connects these technologies, partnerships, and communication in one location."
Visitors to the exhibit can expect a rich program featuring live metalworking demonstrations by Kennametal's engineering team and industry partners. There, innovative solutions will be showcased that improve performance, productivity, and precision in various applications. Throughout the week, attendees will also discover the newest innovations in milling, drilling, turning, and Swiss machining tools, as well as advanced additive manufacturing capabilities for high-volume components.
Designed in collaboration with EWI Worldwide, the Next Level Shop exhibit fosters an engaging environment, encouraging exploration and discussions about how innovation can thrive through the convergence of technology and collaboration. It's expected to resonate strongly with attendees looking to push the envelope in their manufacturing operations.
Additionally, participants will have an opportunity to enter an exclusive contest for the chance to take home the fully customized motorcycle. This unique offering highlights Kennametal’s emphasis on merging excitement with state-of-the-art manufacturing technology.
As Kennametal prepares for this pivotal event, the company highlights its commitment to transforming the manufacturing landscape with advanced solutions that help customers across industries maintain competitiveness. One of the largest industrial solutions providers, Kennametal employs approximately 8,100 people globally and generated $2 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2025.
For those interested in experiencing the future of manufacturing first-hand, the Next Level Shop will be located at booth 431800 on the 3rd floor of the West Building.
