Passengers Select the World’s Best Airports for Customer Experience
The Airports Council International (ACI) World has released its much-anticipated results for the 2024 ASQ Airport Experience Awards, done in collaboration with travel technology company Amadeus. These awards recognize airports worldwide that excel in delivering superior customer experience.
What Are the ASQ Awards?
The ASQ Awards are based on one of the most comprehensive and reliable programs in the aviation sector that measures airport experience. This unique program captures real-time feedback from travelers through live surveys conducted in airports around the globe. Its rigorous methodology ensures that a wide range of passenger experiences are accurately represented, making it the only survey that allows fair comparisons between airports.
Key Highlights from the 2024 ASQ Awards
In 2024, the ASQ program reached a significant milestone, with nearly 700,000 questionnaires completed. Over half of global travelers passed through an ASQ-rated airport, underlining the program’s pivotal role in shaping service standards worldwide. A record number of 181 ASQ awards were given to 95 airports globally, acknowledging their commitment to providing exceptional experiences for passengers.

Rudy Daniello, EVP AirOps of Amadeus, added, “The aviation sector is set to drive radical improvements in the passenger experience. Changes to the underlying airline systems and technological standards provide the flexibility needed to rethink decades-old processes and truly transform travel. Imagine a future where you won’t need to check in for a flight, with visa checks done digitally before travel. This perspective allows for airports to be passenger-centered, significantly reducing the need for fixed desks and associated lines. We can envision greater personalization, roaming agents, and an incredibly streamlined passenger experience.”
