New Band IP Project Initiative
Bandai Namco Filmworks, based in Suginami, Tokyo, is thrilled to announce the commencement of a new band IP project in collaboration with Bandai Namco Music Live based in Shibuya, Tokyo. To celebrate the launch of this ambitious initiative, they are hosting auditions for prospective band members titled "Bandai Namco Filmworks × Bandai Namco Music Live Band Member Audition Supported by Eggs."
This audition will see participation from "Eggs," one of Japan's largest free indie music platforms, to provide promotional support, ensuring that talented individuals have access to this unique opportunity.
Audition Theme: "Play Even When Incomplete"
The tagline encouraging participation, "Play Even When Incomplete," invites aspiring musicians who are passionate and ready to showcase their talents in a dynamic environment. The audition aims to bring together individuals who embody a tenacious spirit and a desire to do something "cool" within the music world.

Positions Available:
This audition seeks candidates for four key positions:
- - Vocals
- - Guitar
- - Bass
- - Drums
Candidates for vocals may also include those that can manage guitar or bass while singing. The successful contenders will not only participate as band members but may also have roles as voice actors for characters featured in the new band IP project.
Selected participants will benefit from direct lessons from experienced professional musicians as part of their training.
Meet the Instructors:
- - Guitar: Takahiro Murakuni – A versatile artist involved in live shows and recordings for various genres, specializing in guitar effects.
- - Bass: Igo – An accomplished bassist whose career began at 14, gaining experience as a studio musician and performing with multiple artists.
- - Drums: Genta Naoi – An experienced drummer with a rich background in live performances across different genres.
Eligibility for Entry:
Candidates must meet the following conditions:
- - Female residents of Japan born between April 1, 2001, and April 1, 2011, (at least 16 years old and under 25 years as of April 1, 2027).
- - Consent from guardians is necessary for minors.
- - Candidates must be willing and able to relocate to Tokyo if selected.
- - No current commitments to exclusive singing groups, though those with flexible schedules may apply.
- - Must be able to participate fully in events and promotional activities.
Audit Process:
The selection process will include several stages:
1.
First Stage: Documentation, Self-Promotion, Singing, and Instrument Auditions (August 26 – October 14, 2026).
2.
Second Stage: Online interviews and performances (scheduled for late October to mid-November).
3.
Third Stage: In-person assessments in December.
4.
Final Stage: A training camp in early January 2027.
Important Considerations:
- - No fees will be charged for entry, but candidates are responsible for costs related to video submissions, travel to venues, and other personal expenses.
- - Submitted materials may be used in media promotions as part of the audition process.
- - Sharing audit details on social media without permission is strictly prohibited.
Successful candidates will be informed of the results by early February 2027, with activities expected to begin in spring 2027.
