Sasken and VicOne Team Up to Enhance Automotive Cybersecurity Solutions

Strategic Partnership to Bolster Automotive Cybersecurity

Sasken Technologies Limited, a prominent player in product engineering and digital transformation, has officially announced its strategic partnership with VicOne - a leading provider of cybersecurity solutions specifically designed for the automotive industry. This collaboration aims to significantly enhance cybersecurity measures across vehicles and entire fleets for global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier-1 suppliers.

VicOne, a subsidiary of Trend Micro, is renowned for its comprehensive end-to-end cybersecurity solutions tailored for vehicles. These include innovative offerings such as xCarbon, an intrusion detection and prevention system for automobiles, vSOC, which focuses on fleet monitoring and response, and EVSE Security, aimed at protecting the electric vehicle charging infrastructure. VicOne’s solutions provide invaluable insights into emerging threats and ensure operational transparency, bolstered by extensive threat intelligence derived from over 70 million data entries added monthly.

As part of this partnership, Sasken intends to leverage its over 30 years of experience in development, validation, and system integration to help implement and integrate VicOne’s robust cybersecurity solutions. This alliance will empower OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to deploy cybersecurity on a larger scale across electronic control units, operating systems, and cloud systems, thus improving evidential accuracy, reducing investigation times, and enhancing the security of EV charging infrastructure.

Moreover, Sasken and VicOne will engage in mutual knowledge exchange, providing training to Sasken engineers on VicOne's core technologies. This collaboration will unlock strategic system integration opportunities for VicOne while ensuring that Sasken engineers contribute effectively to sophisticated security options for major platforms, OEMs, operating systems, and automotive services.

Strengthening Industry Standards
Speaking on this partnership, Rahul Bagchi, AVP of Cybersecurity Practice at Sasken Technologies, expressed enthusiasm about addressing one of the automotive industry's most pressing challenges—cybersecurity. He stated, “By combining VicOne’s established platforms with Sasken’s technical expertise and integration capabilities, we can assist OEMs and Tier-1 companies in deploying secure, scalable, and accountable solutions both in vehicles and across fleets. Together, we facilitate faster time-to-market, improved protection, and seamless trust within the connected and electric mobility ecosystem.”

Baker Lu, Sales Director at VicOne, complemented Bagchi’s comments by highlighting that the mission of VicOne is to protect vehicles and connected mobility systems. He noted that the partnership represents a significant advancement by merging technical and integration expertise with their cybersecurity offerings—namely, xCarbon, xNexus, and EV Charging Protection—offering integrated deployment across vehicle platforms and charging infrastructures.

Navigating Emerging Cyber Threats
Given the increasing sophistication of cyber threats targeting connected vehicles and electric vehicle infrastructures, this partnership aims to deliver a forward-looking, comprehensive cybersecurity framework tailored for the automotive sector. It is designed to assist manufacturers and fleets in protecting vehicles, expediting regulatory compliance, and bolstering user trust within the global connected mobility ecosystem.
