CU SoCal CARES Hosts a Fun-Filled Day for Local Youth at Give Kids A Smile Event

CU SoCal CARES Brings Joy to Youth

In a heartwarming event recently held in Anaheim Hills, California, the Credit Union of Southern California (CU SoCal) organized a delightful day for local children known as the 'Give Kids A Smile Day.' This initiative was in collaboration with the Boys & Girls Club of Fullerton and aimed to surprise nearly 200 youth with cool treats from Kona Ice, a favorite among the kids.

A Day of Happiness

The event was not just about the delicious snow cones; it was an opportunity for CU SoCal to deepened its relationship with the Boys & Girls Club. The team at CU SoCal took the time to visit the club’s facility in Fullerton prior to the event. During this visit, they collaborated closely with the club's leadership to craft an enjoyable experience that the children would cherish.

Shirley Ramirez, the Chief Operating Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fullerton, expressed her gratitude for CU SoCal's thoughtful partnership, stating, "It may have been a hot day, but the smiles were even brighter. We're thankful for CU SoCal's commitment to the youth in our community."

Commitment to Community

The 'Give Kids A Smile Day' is more than just a fun outing; it reflects CU SoCal’s steadfast commitment to fostering community partnerships and crafting meaningful experiences for local families and children. Melissa Manning, Vice President of Business & Talent Development at CU SoCal, noted, "Creating opportunities to connect with and support local youth is at the heart of our CU SoCal CARES efforts. We take pride in bringing joy and connection to the families within our community."

With three events already completed this year and three more planned in the upcoming months, CU SoCal is dedicated to continuing its outreach and support for the youth.
