On January 17, 2026, the preliminary event for MyNavi DANCEALIVE 2026 KIDS CHUGOKU was held at Club CHINA TOWN in Hiroshima, marking a significant step toward the much-anticipated finals set for April 2026. This world-renowned solo dance battle serves as a platform to showcase talents from across Japan, and the KIDS category continues to inspire young dancers.

The event, organized by Anomaly Inc., known for its commitment to promoting dance culture, attracted numerous young participants eager to demonstrate their skills. Two dancers emerged victorious, earning their spots in the upcoming finals based on the points they accrued throughout the competition.

What is MyNavi DANCEALIVE?

Originally launched in 2005 as DANCE@LIVE, this event has grown into one of the largest 1-on-1 street dance battles in the world. Dancers face off in pairs, improvising to tracks chosen exclusively by a DJ. The winner is determined by the number of votes received from judges, making it an electrifying contest of creativity and skill.

MyNavi DANCEALIVE is divided into six categories, spanning various dance styles including House, Breaking, Hip-Hop, All Styles, and Popping. Among these, the KIDS category focuses on dancers below junior high school age, promoting inclusivity and inspiring the next generation of artists.

Throughout the year, preliminary events are conducted across eight regions in Japan including Hokkaido, Tohoku, Kanto, Hokuriku, Chubu, Kansai, Chugoku, and Kyushu, leading up to the final competition.

Upcoming KIDS Events

The excitement does not stop here. The next KIDS events are scheduled as follows:

KIDS Category Details

To compete in the KIDS category, dancers must be below junior high school age at the time of participation. Notably, students who graduate post-competition can still take part in the finals. The battles are 1-on-1 All Styles competitions, with no restrictions on the genres of dance.

Points are awarded throughout the year based on performance in the region-specific preliminaries, with the top two in each area gaining entry to the finals. Additionally, a wildcard battle takes place the day before the finals, allowing for two more dancers to secure a last-minute spot.

Each region hosts three preliminary rounds termed vol.1, vol.2, and CLIMAX, contributing to a total of 24 preliminaries nationwide. Locations for these events span the eight regions of Japan, with no entry restrictions based on residency.

In a dynamic dance landscape, MyNavi DANCEALIVE is nurturing talent, encouraging creativity, and fostering community among young dancers across the nation. As the excitement builds leading to the finals, the anticipation for each upcoming event continues to grow.

Stay tuned for more updates as we celebrate the remarkable journey of these young artists pursuing their dance dreams.
