FOD's 'MAZZEL DUO MISSION' Season 1 Premiere

Today marks the exciting launch of 'MAZZEL DUO MISSION' Season 1 on FOD Premium! Following overwhelming positive feedback from the pilot episode, this original documentary variety show created by Fuji Television is being officially made into a regular series. This is a significant moment for the dance and vocal group MAZZEL as it features their very first regular show.

In this season, the MAZZEL members revisit their formative DUO team-ups to face a total of 8 intriguing challenges from various genres. Over the course of the series, which will run until early 2026, FOD Premium will sequentially release 4 episodes, showcasing their dynamic interaction and growth in the spotlight.

'MAZZEL DUO MISSION' features 8 uniquely talented members: KAIRYU, NAOYA, RAN, SEITO, RYUKI, TAKUTO, HAYATO, and EIKI, all aspiring artists driven to grow and evolve. Through various challenges in DUO (pair) format, audiences will witness their personal growths, as the members face each mission with sincere determination.

The journey begins with today's first episode, where NAOYA pairs with HAYATO, and TAKUTO teams up with EIKI to take on a long-desired voice acting challenge. Anticipation is high as they will even have the opportunity to try dubbing for real anime! Additionally, an audition-driven survival challenge will determine their roles! RAN and SEITO, along with KAIRYU and RYUKI, will tackle the art of Japanese taiko drumming, bringing heart-pounding excitement as they make their first public performance, underlined by the bonds formed during their practice.

KAIRYU: "I’m KAIRYU! This is my first experience with taiko! At first glance, it seemed too difficult and intimidating, I almost gave up! But as MAZZEL, we gave it our best, so enjoy watching our transformation from awkwardness to confidence!"
