Bringing more than 25 years of experience in global finance, Sharan's background spans various domains including technology, consumer products, and consulting. Before joining Quantinuum, he served nearly five years as the CFO of SoundHound AI, where he successfully navigated the company's public listing in 2022, overseeing diverse functions from strategic financial planning to corporate strategy and legal matters.

Prior to his impressive tenure at SoundHound AI, Sharan dedicated over five years to Nike. There, he held critical leadership roles, including Vice President of Investor Relations and Treasurer, as well as CFO for Global Operations and Technology. His professional journey took root at Hewlett-Packard, where he spent 15 years in senior leadership roles, kicking off his career as a consultant at Accenture.
Sharan is not only a seasoned finance professional but also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. He earned his MBA from the prestigious Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and holds a bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Sharan currently resides in Portland, Oregon, and is active in community service. He serves on several boards, including Activate, which focuses on empowering deep science entrepreneurs in turning their innovations into practical applications, and is a Trustee of the Catlin Gabel School, a progressive K-12 independent school.
