SSI Schaefer, a global leader in intra-logistics solutions, has announced the appointment of Koen Leekens as the new Senior Vice President and Regional Head for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Middle East and Africa (MEA) regions. This strategic appointment, effective from June 6, 2025, aims to bolster the company’s operational capabilities and enhance its market presence in these dynamic regions.
Experience and Vision of Koen Leekens
Koen Leekens brings over 30 years of international leadership experience, having spent 26 years working in the APAC region. His previous role was with Schneider Electric, where he led the Industrial Automation business. With a rich background in management, business development, finance, and operations, Leekens is recognized for his commitment to Industry 4.0, digital transformation, and sustainability initiatives.
In his new role at SSI Schaefer, Leekens will report directly to Peter Edelmann, the CEO, and will be responsible for the overall performance of SSI Schaefer in the APAC and MEA regions. His key responsibilities will include strategic direction and operational success.
