CFMOTO 675SR-R Named Official Motorcycle for 2027 WorldWCR Series
CFMOTO 675SR-R to Lead World Women’s Championship Racing in 2027
In a historic move, the CFMOTO 675SR-R has secured its position as the official motorcycle for the World Women’s Championship Racing (WorldWCR), starting in 2027. This agreement, established between CFMOTO, the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), and the Dorna World Superbike Organization (DWO), marks the first time that a Chinese motorcycle manufacturer has been designated as the sole supplier for a single-brand series at the level of the FIM World Championship.
A New Era in Women's Racing
Established in 2024, the WorldWCR is a groundbreaking initiative, being the first international road racing championship exclusively for female riders. All competitors in this series will race identical CFMOTO motorcycles, promoting a fair competition environment where rider skill is paramount while showcasing the impressive capabilities of the motorcycles.
Alongside other prominent championship series such as Sportbike (SPB), Supersport (SSP), and Superbike (SBK), the WorldWCR is set to elevate the profile of female athletes in motorsports.
Cutting-Edge Performance
The CFMOTO 675SR-R is a powerful, water-cooled, three-cylinder sportbike boasting a displacement of 675 cm³. It generates an impressive peak power output of 70 kW (95 hp) at 11,000 RPM and a maximum torque of 70 Nm at 8,250 RPM. This robust performance establishes a strong foundation for racing excellence. The motorcycle has already begun making waves in the British Superbike Championship (BSB), having achieved podium finishes in its inaugural season, making it the first series production motorcycle from China to do so.
Developed in conjunction with the Aspar Team, a prominent partner of CFMOTO in the Moto2 and Moto3 categories, the 675SR-R benefited from rigorous testing and development processes. The Aspar riders and technical team played a vital role in the bike's development, directly enhancing its racing capabilities.
Contributing to a Global Shift
CFMOTO’s venture into the WorldWCR aligns with its mission to reshape perceptions of the Chinese motorcycle industry on the global stage. The 675SR-R's integration into women's competitive racing not only signifies progress for CFMOTO but also showcases the growing recognition of female riders in motorsport.
Looking Ahead: A New Chapter for CFMOTO
The upcoming 2027 WorldWCR season will mark the 675SR-R's extensive competitive debut in the premier women’s motorcycle championship worldwide. CFMOTO is committed to providing a comprehensive support system, which will include the preparation of racing motorcycles, supply of spare parts, and the deployment of an on-site technical team to ensure optimal performance throughout the season.
As CFMOTO steps into this new chapter, it aims not only to excel in performance but also to inspire a new generation of female competitors to embrace the thrill of motorcycle racing.
