On July 23, Desay Battery, a premier global player in energy storage solutions, marked a significant milestone by launching its mass production of innovative energy storage technologies in Changsha, China. This event showcased their next-gen proactive safety battery cells, the UPS 2.0, and a comprehensive Data Center Energy Integration Source-Grid-Load-Storage Solution. These advancements are pivotal in Desay's commitment to high-performance and safety-first technologies, underscored by strategic partnerships aimed at transforming regional energy structures.

At the heart of the launch was Desay's unwavering focus on safety, a critical tenet driving its innovation. Desay’s President, Leon Cheng, reiterated that safety remains their primary concern in product design and system architecture. The company enhances the performance of its batteries through cutting-edge advancements in digitalization, modularization, and intelligent manufacturing. Desay Battery's latest safety battery cells illustrate this commitment to enhancing safety. By leveraging advanced smart manufacturing processes and stringent quality control measures, these innovative battery cells demonstrate remarkable resistance to both high temperatures and overcharging scenarios. Their proprietary pressure sensing technology ensures real-time monitoring of battery health, while the integration of AI-driven predictive analytics offers rapid risk alerts and accurate lifespan predictions. Furthermore, innovative material-informed designs enhance energy efficiency and durability, reflecting Desay’s proactive safety principles through intrinsic and active protection mechanisms.

The launch also featured the UPS 2.0 system, which utilizes high-discharge 8C-rate battery cells capable of providing emergency backup power of up to 300KVA for 10 minutes. In addition, the new Source-Grid-Load-Storage Solution boasts an impressive competitive levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) at RMB 0.25/kWh, allowing data centers to save up to 79% on peak electricity expenditures.

Yu Qingjiao, Secretary-General of the Zhongguancun New-Battery Technology-Innovation-Alliance, praised Desay Battery’s new offerings for effectively addressing critical safety challenges and establishing benchmarks in lifecycle protection and integration.
