Kanko Committee Welcomes New Members

The Kanko Committee, a student organization dedicated to creating and promoting school uniforms, has officially announced its 9th generation members. This unveiling took place on the stage of the highly anticipated event, "Ultra Teens Festival 2026 presented by Docomo," which aims to provide a unique hands-on experience for teenagers looking to express their creativity and style.

Emphasizing Student Voices

The Kanko Committee is themed around fostering a lifestyle curated by students for students. Each year, a new batch of members is chosen through auditions to take part in modeling, product development, and PR activities. The recent auditions concluded with the selection of 12 talented teens, encompassing diversified backgrounds and experiences ranging from first-year junior high students to third-year high school students. Their aim is to capture and reflect the true voices of their generation in their endeavors.

During the festival, the audience got to meet the new members, introduced by the event’s ambassador, Hinano Segawa. This group of dynamic individuals will operate from Kanko Shop Harajuku through March 2027, bringing fresh ideas and youthful spirit to the brand.

• - Shota Shimizu (Born June 30, 2008) is excited to share his passion for Kanko uniforms with the world, showcasing his unique styling through social media. "I’m honored to be part of the 9th generation and will deliver the charm of Kanko uniforms with my own twist!"

• - Karin Mouri (Born September 5, 2008) is dedicated to promoting the appeal of their school uniforms. She expresses her gratitude for continuing her journey from the 8th generation, eager to engage and inspire the desire for Kanko outfits among peers.

• - Yuzuki Ishiumi (Born September 30, 2008) aims to communicate the allure of Kanko uniforms effectively and wishes to reach a wider audience during her active year.

• - Anika Kurusu (Born July 30, 2009) plans to infuse her personal style into Kanko uniforms, ensuring that the diverse utility and joy of wearing them are conveyed through various platforms.

• - Himari Kunimoto (Born December 30, 2009) wishes to not only showcase classic Kanko attire but also hopes to participate in product development during her term.

• - Cocori Takano (Born September 16, 2010) emphasizes the powerful impact of collaborating with peers as they explore the potential of their school uniforms while aiming to engage their audience more closely.

• - Kokomi Shirakawa (Born April 2, 2011) is committed to amplifying the Kanko brand, learning, and growing alongside her committee peers throughout the year.

• - Iroha Sato (Born December 11, 2011) recognizes the unique power of uniforms in boosting confidence and individuality, with aspirations to leave a positive impact while sporting Kanko apparel.

• - Airi Niino (Born February 9, 2012) wishes to blend traditional Kanko values with contemporary trends in product development and actively share the fun of wearing uniforms via social media.

• - Minato Sonoyama (Born March 12, 2012) is determined to learn and deepen her understanding of uniform styling, embracing this opportunity fully despite her limited experience.
