Lexus of Albuquerque Unveils New Facility

Lexus of Albuquerque has proudly announced the grand opening of its newly renovated dealership following an extensive 20-month, multi-million dollar renovation. This state-of-the-art facility is set to elevate the customer experience and ensure streamlined service operations.

The grand reopening event is scheduled for Tuesday, July 29, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the dealership's location at 4821 Pan American Fwy, Albuquerque. Guests can look forward to an evening filled with entertainment, food, drinks, and a showcase of the latest Lexus models.

Mont Porter, the General Manager of Lexus of Albuquerque, shared insights into the dealership’s transformation. He expressed excitement about the modern amenities that now define the dealership’s presence. The improvements include new speed doors leading to an air-conditioned service drive-up, enhanced solar-powered lighting, and the addition of electric vehicle chargers to support environmentally-friendly transportation options.

Porter further noted that the previous dealership structure was 25 years old and no longer met the evolving needs of customers and team members. The renovations have doubled the service bays from 16 to 32, significantly cutting down service wait times and allowing the dealership to accommodate more vehicles and technicians. The staffing is expected to increase from the current 21 to 30 service technicians to improve customer service further.

The dealership now features a spacious showroom with captivating designs inspired by the local Albuquerque culture, showcasing southwestern colors. This new space can host 22 salespeople and features a waiting area for customers where they can enjoy complimentary snacks, beverages, and free wi-fi during their visit. The redesign also incorporates a new car wash and a parts department cashier in the waiting area for greater convenience.

In alignment with Group 1 Automotive's commitment to social responsibility, Lexus of Albuquerque has pledged a $10,000 donation to the nonprofit organization Girls on the Run. This initiative focuses on harnessing the power of physical activity to nurture and develop essential life skills among young girls.
