Architect Financial Technologies Secures $35M in Series A Funding for Perpetual Futures Exchange AX

Architect Financial Technologies Closes $35 Million Series A Round

Chicago, IL - Architect Financial Technologies Inc. has recently announced that it has finalized a strategic Series A investment round, successfully raising $35 million. This funding will be instrumental in accelerating the growth of AX, which is touted as the financial industry's first centralized exchange specifically for perpetual futures on traditional asset classes. AX was launched just last month, marking a significant milestone in the trading landscape.

The exchange is operated by Architect’s Bermuda affiliate, Architect Bermuda Ltd., and offers institutional clients innovative perpetual contracts on various assets, including foreign currencies, interest rates, individual stocks, stock indices, metals, and other commodities. One of the distinguishing features of the AX exchange is its adherence to a comprehensive regulatory framework governed by the Bermuda Monetary Authority, providing a secure environment for transactions.

The Series A funding was notably anchored by Miami International Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: MIAX) and Tioga Capital, alongside a consortium of leading global financial services firms, which includes Galaxy Ventures (Nasdaq/TSX: GLXY), ARK Invest, VanEck, Trumid, Geneva Trading, and others. Furthermore, Architect received substantial renewed support from previous investors such as Coinbase Ventures (Nasdaq: COIN), Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, and Third Kind Venture Capital. The transaction benefitted from the advisory services of Broadhaven.

In recent years, Architect has successfully raised funds in a pre-seed round of $5 million upon its establishment in 2023 and subsequently completed a $12 million seed round in 2024. With the latest influx of capital, the company is poised to take the next crucial steps in the development of AX.

Brett Harrison, the Founder and CEO of Architect, expressed enthusiasm regarding the funding, stating, "Our team is excited to initiate AX's next critical phase of growth with the support of this strong group of strategic partners. We are grateful for their expertise and guidance as we advance toward the shared goal of catalyzing a new era in global derivatives trading."
