On January 19, 2027, the well-known Sunagawa Park Hotel will undergo a transformation and rebrand as PARK SHIRO. The facility will include a hotel called "Minna no Hotel," a service-supported housing option for seniors known as "Minna no Ouchi," and a unique secondhand shop inspired by the concept of sustainability.

The foundation for this bold initiative began in June 2021, when SHIRO, the parent company behind PARK SHIRO, constructed a manufacturing facility in their hometown of Sunagawa, Hokkaido. This project, titled the "Minna no Sunagawa Project," was launched to promote community-driven urban development, allowing local citizens to voice their opinions regarding the future of the iconic Sunagawa Park Hotel. One year later, in June 2022, SHIRO took over the management rights of the hotel, marking the start of its reinvention.

Originally opened in 1986, the Sunagawa Park Hotel was born from the dreams of local residents who wished to have a venue for weddings and celebrations. Over the years, families and friends gathered here to create cherished memories but, like many establishments, it faced challenges due to demographic changes and shifting societal landscapes.
