Newmark Secures $482.5 Million Financing for Luxury Resort in Colorado

Financing for The Stockman

Newmark Group, Inc., a prominent player in the commercial real estate sector, has secured an impressive $482.5 million loan intended for the development of The Stockman, a luxurious ski-in, ski-out resort in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The loan was arranged on behalf of Stockman Development LLC, which is spearheaded by Marquee Development. The project recently broke ground and is expected to set a new standard in high-end mountain living.

The financing comes from GoldenTree Asset Management, a respected global firm that manages approximately $70 billion in assets. Leaders from Newmark's Global Debt and Structured Finance division, including Co-President Jordan Roeschlaub and Vice Chairman Nick Scribani, played pivotal roles in securing the funds for this prestigious project.

The Stockman is envisioned as an elite destination featuring 95 branded residences complemented by a 59-key hotel, all affiliated with the Auberge Resorts Collection. The design is executed by OZ Architecture, with interior design services from Nunzio Marc DeSantis Architects, ensuring a blend of aesthetics and functionality that reflects the region's rich heritage.

One of the standout features of The Stockman will be its extensive amenities which promise to cater to an upscale clientele. Plans include direct access to Steamboat Mountain for skiing, spa facilities, fitness centers, a swimming pool, and a variety of dining options. Additionally, residents and guests will enjoy exclusive lounges and ski locker storage, alongside private terraces. The architectural style is set to honor Steamboat Springs' Western roots while integrating modern luxuries and high-quality service.

Situated strategically at the base of the Steamboat Ski Resort, The Stockman will allow guests to indulge in an array of outdoor activities throughout the seasons. Whether skiing during the winter, hiking in the spring and summer, or mountain biking and fishing, the resort is poised to redefine year-round luxury on the mountain.

This development forms part of a broader investment strategy by Alterra, which recently initiated a $250 million reinvestment program dubbed
