Yili Launches Pro-Kido Infant Formula in Hong Kong to Expand Globally

On May 20, 2025, Yili Group held a launch event in Hong Kong, signaling the introduction of its Pro-Kido brand into the local market. This event is part of Yili's broader strategy to expand its global presence. According to recent data, Yili continues to hold the title of the best-selling milk powder brand in China, with Pro-Kido leading the charge in its portfolio of infant preparations.

During the ceremony, Yili formed a strategic partnership with Mannings, the largest health and beauty retailer in Hong Kong. This collaboration is a key element of Yili's initiatives to strengthen its market presence locally. Yili Group's Vice President, Zhang Yipeng, emphasized that the company views Hong Kong as a gateway to international markets. Yili is eager to cooperate with global partners to seize emerging opportunities and deliver high-quality, nutritious, and appealing products to consumers around the world.

In addition to celebrating the product launch, Dr. Ignatius Szeto, Deputy Chairman of Yili Group and head of the Global Maternal and Child Nutrition Research Center, presented the company’s comprehensive 'four-in-one' nutrition strategy along with the latest findings from its innovative HMOs+ ecosystem. A whitepaper entitled "Key Achievements in Breast Milk Research" was also disclosed, which showcases 13 notable results, including the first accurate profiling of amino acid composition in Chinese breast milk and the discovery of the relationship between oligosaccharides and infants' gut microbiomes. Professor Paul Moughan, a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry in New Zealand, affirmed that his team has closely collaborated with Yili over the past decade and praised the company's rigorous adherence to scientific standards.

The Pro-Kido infant formula, specifically the Aronurish line, is produced in Yili's Modern Intelligence Health Valley located in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. This cutting-edge facility integrates equipment and technology from more than ten countries, positioning itself at the forefront of innovation, scalability, and digital intelligence in the dairy sector. Yili has established a global supply network comprised of over 2,000 partners, setting new quality benchmarks in the industry.

Barry Cole, Global Application Management Director for Nutritional Formulas at GEA Group, noted that their 25-year collaboration has centered on building industry-leading plants where product quality is assured through the highest technological standards. The Aronurish formula underwent more than 300 quality and safety tests, all conforming to international standards, as confirmed by Wu Zhijun, President of Eurofins Scientific Group (China).

With a solid international industrial network, Yili aims to deliver healthy solutions and products to consumers worldwide. Under its new partnership with Mannings, the Pro-Kido Aronurish infant formula will be available across Mannings’ retail outlets in Hong Kong. Margaret Lau, Head of Baby Care, Confectionery, and GMS at Mannings HK, stated that Pro-Kido becomes the first brand of infant formula made in China to be offered at Mannings, expressing their commitment to expanding the selection of health solutions available in stores.

Recognized as the leading dairy brand in Asia, Yili is swiftly expanding its global footprint, transitioning from a follower to a world leader. The company reported a total revenue of 115.78 billion RMB for the fiscal year 2024. This figure includes 29.675 billion RMB from milk powder and related dairy products, representing a 7.53% year-over-year increase. While maintaining its position as the top selling milk powder brand nationally, Yili also noted a remarkable 68% rise in overseas sales of infant formula preparations.
