Major Updates for rakumo for Google Workspace
rakumo Corporation, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has recently unveiled plans for a substantial update to 'rakumo for Google Workspace' set to roll out between the second half of 2025 and the first half of 2026. This update introduces an AI agent equipped with advanced capabilities designed to improve workplace efficiency and user experience.
Introduction of AI Agent 'rakumo Agent'
One of the most exciting features in this upcoming update is the integration of the 'rakumo Agent.' Leveraging Google's advanced AI technologies such as Gemini and Vertex AI, this virtual assistant aims to facilitate tasks through conversational interactions. It will serve a secretarial role, helping users manage their daily responsibilities, send reminders, and streamline workflows.
Key Features of the rakumo Agent
- - rakumo Calendar: The rakumo Agent will assist in efficiently scheduling meetings, suggesting and reserving conference rooms, and informing users when a meeting room is unbooked. This feature significantly reduces the back-and-forth communication typically required.
- - rakumo Board: Users will receive updates about unread posts in the Board, allowing them to stay informed. The agent can also send reminders to those who have yet to read important announcements.
- - rakumo Workflow: When a user presents a document such as an estimate, the rakumo Agent will analyze it and suggest relevant forms to complete, thus automating the documentation process.
Enhancements Based on Customer Feedback
In addition to the introduction of the rakumo Agent, rakumo will implement several features based on client feedback. Notably:
- - Comment and Discussion Feature: This allows for real-time communication between applicants and approvers within workflows, streamlining the approval process and reducing delays.
- - Schedule Adjustment Feature: Dynamically organize appointments with external clients, allowing them to select preferred times from proposed options, greatly enhancing scheduling efficiency.
Implementation of Paid Features as Standard Options
Effective October 2025, some of the previously paid features that customers found useful will be included as standard options across services. This includes:
- - Equipment Reservation Option for coordinating resources within company domains.
- - Local File Attachment Option for submissions in Workflow and Keihi.
- - ZIP Download Option allowing bulk downloads of up to 150 request forms for audits and backups.
Pricing Adjustments
With these new updates and enhancements, rakumo will also revise its pricing structure starting from October 1, 2025, for new contracts, while existing customers will see these changes applied at renewal beginning January 1, 2026. The overall pricing details will be communicated, and all figures will be listed before tax. Customers will also need a paid version of Google Workspace to use rakumo services.
rakumo is committed to continuously evolving workplace experiences, aiming to enhance productivity and streamline operations. The mission remains to support and exceed customer expectations in a rapidly changing digital work environment.
