Solenis Partners with Moleaer to Enhance Polymer Activation Using Nanobubble Technology

Solenis and Moleaer Join Forces

In a groundbreaking development for the water treatment industry, Solenis, a prominent provider of water treatment and process solutions, has officially announced a strategic agreement with Moleaer, the leader in nanobubble technology. This collaboration aims to enhance the effectiveness of polymer activation in various water and wastewater treatment applications.

The Agreement: Enhancing Polymer Activation

Under this new global agreement, Solenis will become the exclusive third-party representative for Moleaer’s innovative nanobubble technology, which will be integrated into Solenis’ existing Novera Nanobubble Performance Program. This partnership promises to combine Moleaer’s cutting-edge nanobubble generation process with Solenis’ extensive product lineup and technical expertise, creating a robust solution tailored to meet the growing demands of water treatment.

Nanobubbles, which are gas bubbles smaller than 200 nanometers, have the unique ability to remain suspended in liquids. These bubbles, when incorporated into the make-down water that's used to activate flocculant polymers, can significantly enhance liquid-solids separation processes—an essential function in treatment facilities.

Optimizing Operational Efficiency and Sustainability

This collaboration primarily targets improving operational efficiencies for industrial and municipal customers who are grappling with the challenges of rising operational costs and stringent discharge regulations. The implementation of nanobubble technology aims to reduce polymer consumption by an impressive 10% to 40%, while also achieving a 2% to 4% increase in cake dryness.

Dave Jellison, Vice President of Global Equipment at Solenis, highlighted the synergy between the two companies, stating that this agreement fortifies their ability to deliver high-value treatment solutions to customers faced with complex water challenges. By amalgamating Solenis' established chemistry with Moleaer’s nanobubble technology, they seek to facilitate customers in extracting enhanced value from their polymer treatment processes while minimizing necessary capital investments.

Nick Dyner, CEO of Moleaer, stressed the significance of the partnership, particularly in light of the mounting pressures faced by operators due to aging infrastructure and heightened environmental regulations. By joining forces with Solenis, they aim to unlock new potential in polymer treatment, ultimately enhancing process efficiency and results.

Key Benefits of the Partnership

Given the critical need for improved efficiency and sustainability in the water treatment sector, the integration of nanobubble technology is expected to propel advancements in multiple areas:
  • - Enhanced Polymer Performance: The unique properties of nanobubbles enhance the activation of flocculant polymers, leading to more efficient treatment cycles.
  • - Operational Savings: Reduced polymer usage translates to cost savings and lowered environmental impact, allowing facilities to operate more sustainably.
  • - Complex Application Adaptability: The technology can be applied across a variety of settings, including dewatering, thickening, and clarification processes, showcasing its versatility.

Looking Ahead

As a leading entity in the sector, Solenis, which boasts a global footprint and a rich history of innovation, continues to evolve to meet the challenges of modern water treatment. The collaboration with Moleaer reflects a commitment to sustainability and operational excellence, marking another significant step towards addressing the urgent water challenges we currently face on a global scale.
