The combination of Nordic’s industry-leading nRF54 series ultra-low-power SoCs with Neuton’s cutting-edge neural network framework marks the beginning of a transformative era for scalable and high-performance AI, even for devices with limited resources.

A Leap in Performance and Efficiency

According to Vegard Wollan, CEO and President of Nordic Semiconductor, this acquisition represents a monumental leap in embedded computing power and efficiency. By merging Nordic's expertise in low-power wireless technology with Neuton.AI's state-of-the-art TinyML platform, developers are now equipped to create a new class of always-on, AI-powered devices that are faster, smaller, and more energy-efficient than ever before.

Neuton.AI's proprietary technological advancements lie within its fully automated platform, which generates machine learning (ML) models generally smaller than 5 KB, making them up to ten times smaller and faster compared to alternative methods. This exceptional ease of use means that users do not need extensive experience in data science or manual adjustments to implement these models quickly onto 8, 16, and 32-bit microcontroller units (MCUs). With its innovative neural network framework that automates the creation of ultra-small models without predefined architectures, Neuton.AI provides precise, rapid, and energy-efficient AI for cutting-edge applications across various market sectors, such as consumer goods, healthcare, and industrial automation, while preserving valuable device resources like power and code memory.

Integration Plans and Future Prospects

The acquisition encompasses all intellectual property and selected technological assets of Neuton.AI, along with its experienced team of 13 engineers and data scientists.
