LOG Pharma Primary Packaging to Unveil Eco-Friendly Barrier Solutions at Pharmapack Europe 2025

LOG Pharma Primary Packaging's Innovative Eco Line

LOG Pharma Primary Packaging, a global leader in pharmaceutical packaging, is gearing up for a significant showcase at Pharmapack Europe 2025, set to take place on January 22-23 in Paris, France. The company is poised to unveil its latest innovation—the Barrier Eco Line designed for both innovative and generic drug companies.

This new packaging solution aims to reduce production costs significantly while ensuring optimal protection against moisture and oxygen, crucial for pharmaceutical products. LOG's approach combines its advanced expertise in pharmaceutical-grade polymers with cutting-edge technology to enhance its sustainability offerings. The result is a line of eco-friendly barrier bottles that not only meet but exceed current industry standards.

Key Features of the Barrier Eco Line

One of the standout features of these new bottles is their lightweight design. By employing innovative HEALTH + resins, developed in collaboration with Dow, LOG has achieved a remarkable reduction in bottle weight—up to 30%. This change is accomplished without sacrificing the Water Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR), ensuring the integrity of the pharmaceutical products packed within.

In addition to minimizing weight, these eco-designed bottles provide superior gas barrier properties, offering enhanced protection against environmental factors that can compromise drug efficacy. During Pharmapack Europe, LOG will exhibit these barrier bottles alongside its extensive range of packaging solutions, specifically tailored for moisture-sensitive, oral, and oxygen-sensitive formulations.

Commitment to Sustainability

Shaul Bassi, the CEO of LOG Pharma, emphasized the company’s dedication to sustainability in the pharmaceutical industry. "The new Eco Line product family represents our commitment to delivering sustainable, eco-friendly barrier bottles at competitive prices," he stated. Bassi highlighted the ongoing efforts of the research and development team in developing products that not only meet environmental standards but also provide exceptional barrier protection.

At the upcoming event, Ora Gilboa, LOG’s VP of R&D, will present a session titled "Barrier Bottles: Sustainability—Can We Have Them Both?" This presentation will delve into the challenges and triumphs experienced during the development of these eco-friendly solutions while maintaining essential barrier properties.

For those attending Pharmapack Europe, the team from LOG Pharma will be available at Stand A97 in Hall 7.2, providing opportunities for meetings and discussions about the innovative changes in pharmaceutical packaging.
