Celebrating 60 Years of Grateful Dead Art

Las Vegas is set to embrace the magical and vibrant aura of the Grateful Dead as Animazing Gallery, located at The Venetian Resort, opens its doors for a unique art and photography exhibition in honor of the band's 60th anniversary. This retrospective event coincides with the upcoming concerts of Dead & Company titled Dead Forever – Live at Sphere, scheduled from March 22 to May 17, creating a perfect backdrop for the celebration of this iconic musical group.

The exhibition will showcase remarkable artwork and photography inspired by the Grateful Dead, particularly featuring pieces from notable artists and photographers who have documented the band’s enduring legacy. Among these are renowned psychedelic artist Stanley Mouse, who is famous for his impressionistic and trippy artworks, including the ever-popular skeleton and roses imagery that has become synonymous with the Grateful Dead identity.

Jay Blakesberg, a long-time photographer for the band, will also feature his work, highlighting various iconic moments from the band's history through his lens. Joining them is Chloe Weir, the daughter of founding Grateful Dead member Bobby Weir, who brings her own unique vision to the medium. As a promising young talent in photography, Chloe has documented both the legacy of her father and the continuation of the Grateful Dead’s spirit through Dead & Company.
