Kia K4 2025 Awarded IIHS Top Safety Pick+ for Outstanding Safety Performance

2025 Kia K4 Receives IIHS Top Safety Pick+

The 2025 Kia K4 has officially been awarded the highest safety rating, earning the Top Safety Pick+ (TSP+) designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). This accolade not only announces the K4's premier status in automotive safety but also reflects its commitment to delivering exceptional performance in rigorous testing standards set forth by the IIHS. Applicable to models produced after January 2025, this recognition emphasizes the K4's advanced safety features, which now include improved standards for rear occupant protection.

Steven Center, the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Kia America, states, "The K4 is an outstanding example of how Kia continues to elevate standards by offering sedans that combine performance, technology, and safety. It’s crucial for our customers to feel secure, and the TSP+ rating of the K4 demonstrates that it excels in every aspect. This makes it a smart choice within the compact segment."

To qualify for the TSP+ designation, vehicles must achieve good scores in the following crash test categories: small overlap front, updated moderate overlap front, and updated side tests. Additionally, they need to demonstrate acceptable or good performance in frontal crash prevention for pedestrians, and come with standard headlights rated as acceptable or good across all trim levels.

The K4’s bold fastback styling and advanced connectivity features position it as both a safe and appealing choice in the market. Inside, the vehicle boasts a premium interior loaded with features that enhance the driving experience, including almost 30 inches of available digital displays, 11 standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and upgrades like the Harman Kardon audio system. The K4 also provides dynamic propulsion options, ensuring that drivers can enjoy a blend of safety and excitement.

Kia’s commitment to safety is further displayed with the availability of nearly 29 ADAS functions, such as a 360-degree surround view monitor, which further enhances the driving experience.
